SHE AND I
Best I have a friend indeed
Who helps me out in times of need
Her friendship I always fancy
Her beautiful name is Nancy
Small in a church we did meet
Her words were sweeter than a sweet
There did our friendship commence
And even today I enjoy her presence
Pleasant is she than a flower’s fragrance
It is her smile that is her essence
Happy is the dawn I see her face
It is with her I spent the happiest of days
Buttresses her hand when in distress
And yells with joy in my success
I don’t know what it is that binds
Into a cohesive bond our hearts and minds
